Hello Resident, I hope you are doing well. This message compliments previous appeals for you to let us know some of the stuff you have all been up to in your communities. As coordinators you all make a real, everyday difference—often quietly, always consistently, every day you contribute thousands of acts of care and kindness, help and support that make our communities better, stuff you think is small and insignificant, is the stuff we know makes a huge difference . To help more communities learn from your work, inspire new volunteers, and strengthen local partnerships, we’re asking you to tell us what you’ve been doing in your area. We can then share your updates through our website, newsletters and social channels, we feel we need to highlight the practical actions that keep people connected, informed and safer. Your contributions take many forms that we are aware of such as welcoming new residents and linking them into local support, running doorstep or online engagement to share scam-prevention advice, organising community walkabouts to identify lighting, access or environmental concerns, supporting vulnerable neighbours and each other during severe weather. These aren’t just “nice to have” activities—they reduce isolation, improve confidence, and help build strong, resilient communities, where people feel happy and safe, positive messages about your impact matter. They are a balance to fear, show that community problem-solving works, and encourage others to get involved. So please respond to this alert with a short update (100–200 words is perfect) with:
Every story helps us highlight the great work happening across Scotland—and helps another community learn from your experience. We now have 828 registered watches across all areas of Scotland, that covers around 75,000 households and is something we are very proud of. Please help us tell the Neighbourhood Watch Story through your everyday actions.
Thank You | ||
