Drug Dealing in the Community

Identifying and tackling drug dealing in the community is one of Police Scotland's highest priorities and a real focus for the Community and Response Policing teams in the area. We work closely with partner agencies and the community as a whole to take drugs off our streets, identify those involved and ensure they are reported to the Procurator Fiscal.

Today, Drumchapel and Partick Community Policing Teams executed a drugs warrant in the area and seized a quantity of drugs. Two males have subsequently been reported for Misuse of Drugs Act 1971 offences. Such operations are only possible with the cooperation of the community.

I would like to thank the community for their continued support and urge them to get in contact with Police Scotland to highlight suspected drug dealing and suspicious activity in the community so that our resources can be best utilised.

Police Scotland can be contacted by calling 101, 999 in the case of an emergency or via the Police Scotland website, www.scotland.police.uk
