Rural and Wildlife Crime Initiative

Good afternoon all,

The newly appointed Lothian and Scottish Borders Wildlife Crime Officer alongside the Midlothian Community Action Team will be conducting a number of days of engagement targetting rural and wildlife crime in Midlothian. This is with the hope of targetting ‘Hare Coursers’ as well as engaging with members of the rural community regarding agricultural related theft's. It is this time of year that hare coursing becomes prevelant.

If anyone has any information regarding this or any other linked criminality I ask that you report the matter via 101 or via email to: lothianscotborderswildlife@scotland.police.uk - for any intelligence or Wildlife questions you may have.

Kind regards

PC Ali Whitby

Wildlife Crime Coordinator

Lothian and Scottish Borders
